Maternity Jeans

It was time to get another pair of Maternity Jeans, but I really didn't feel like buying a new pair for $50! That is not my idea of fun! :P I decided to look through some of my old jeans and see if there were any I could convert...and I found these babies! :) Check out the left leg of them though...They were a little too baggy when I bought them about....5 or 6 years ago, so now they were just embarrassing! So I went to work...I added a stretch waist band, took in the legs and hemmed them a couple inches....which resulted in the right leg!

I am so happy with how they turned out and can't wait to wear them tonight for New Year's....even if I will be working/serving! Don't you just want to feel cute no matter where you are on New Year's!? I know I do! Hope you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Snowman/Ladybug Outfit

I had a friend request an outfit for her daughter for her 2nd Birthday! She loves Snowmen and so she had decided to do a snowman theme for the little party she was having, but didn't want the entire outfit to be limited to the winter. So I made the skirt generic red, black, and white! Then we made 2 different L/S shirts to go with it!

I did plain black knit under and the base skirt with an elastic waist band and then the 4 ruffles of different fabric! She loved how it turned out and her daughter loves wearing it!

Isn't she ADORABLE! :)

Christmas Apron

I had a friend contact me about making a Christmas Apron for her Mother-in-law. I had a lot of fun with this one!

She wanted it really elegant and classy! When I saw these fabrics, I knew they were perfect! I love the Damask with the Stripes! It also has some gold accents in there! I love it!

I added a little ribbon up top, just to give it a little Sass! My friend had an apron that she wanted it patterned after and it had ric rac, but I thought the velvety ribbon made a better statement!

Every apron needs a little pocket!
What a fun project...once I got started last night I couldn't stop, it didn't take too long though! ;)

Simplistic Nativity Set

I just recently finished this nativity set. My friends and I decided it was time to start our Christmas craft projects and this was our first one! I still didn't have a nativity and saw this post and decided I needed to make a set!

After we finished this set of Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus....I wanted an entire set! We decided to make 3 WiseMen,

One Angel,

and 2 Shepherds with a Sheep,

We decided to incorporate twine into each item, so there was a common thread throughout the Nativity! I absolutely LOVE how this set turned out!
If you are interested in purchasing a set you can get it here at my etsy shop! Let me know if you are interested for a special discount! ;) Also, if you want to paint a set, I am selling the raw sets, so if you are interested in that, let me know as well! :)

Trick or Treat Burlap Banner

So....its taken me a while to post this one...its been done for a really long time! ;) My sister and a couple friends decided a while back that instead of just pinning on pinterest we wanted to actually start making the things we saw! We saw this and decided we need to make one...of course we changed it up a bit.

I was thinking I should have done a tutorial for this one, but then when I just added the link and it was on etsy.com I decided, I'm glad that I didn't! We had a lot of fun making these though and they were pretty simple and cheap...what we usually go for! ;) Happy Halloween!

Paper Bag Skirt

Here is a picture of her in it...its not the best, but she just wasn't cooperating all that well to get a great shot of her in it! :)

I saw this post a long time ago and really want to make one for my daughter! I had this creamy white corduroy skirt, but I got some road splashed all up the back of it on a rainy day and could never get it out.....SO....I decided to change it into an adorable skirt for Nik!

I haven't got any great pictures of her in it yet, but I hope to soon! :) If you want to make one too....Christie from Lemon Squeezy Home did a Wonderful Tutorial on the link above!

Lined Paper Tee

So my sister enlisted me in making this T shirt for my nephew Deagan, since he is going to Kindergarten this year! We decided to make this Lined Paper Tee...I got the idea originally from here.
We decided to add a little extra touch and put his name on there....just like he writes it! :)

Halloween Wreath

We have decided to start early on Halloween Decorations, because I don't have any...at all....I know SAD!  So I started off with this wreath!
It was SUPER Easy!  I just took black tulle and tied it around my wreath all around!  Then I got some wooden beads and painted them white and added the eye balls and attached them with pipe cleaners.  It was perfect, because then the eyeballs didn't turn at all!  Then I painted my EEK green and sprayed it with a little bit of glitter!
Have you started any Halloween Decorations yet!?

Little Isaiah!

One of our good family friends has a little guy that is 9 months older than Niki! She was one of our Photographers for Nik's 1 yr pictures! We decided to trade for her son's 2 yr birthday shirt. She is doing a monster themed party So.....this is the shirt I made him!

....and this is the invite that I took inspiration from!

I made it by hand cutting the freezer stencil. I thought it turned out super cute!

This is the back.
I wanted to do another Tshirt to say thanks and I love how this turned out!

I hand painted the blue designs around the guitar first, then painted the red guitar using freezer paper stenciling again!

I applied the moon and star and then I did the hand stitching around the moon and in the star and made the ladder!

I absolutely LOVE how this Tshirt turned out! It is better than I even imagined! :)

Re-upholstering My Parent's Trailer

I have been busy this week, working on re-upholstering my parent's trailer as a surprise for them! They purchased an OLD...really really OLD trailer and have been working on redoing the ceiling, floors, etc. When I asked them about re-upholstering, they said they weren't going to worry about it. I thought to myself, well....I think that is something I could do! Then my sister in law approached me about us doing it for them and I was way excited! We went and picked out the fabric and it was 50% OFF at Joann's, so we definitely lucked out that way! We are going to a family reunion this weekend and we wanted to just jump in and hang curtains, put up the valances, and put the seat covers on! I will for sure take some pictures and show you what we did!
Some of you might be wondering...should you be posting this if it is going to be a surprise!? Well....I can post this on here, because:
A. My mom never checks blogs and
B. They went up a day early!
Anyways, I will let you know how it goes! I can't wait to show you all Pictures! :) Hope you all have a great weekend out there in Blogland!

Black N White Damask Dress and Shoes with Yellow Flower Accents

This is the dress I made for my daughter's 1st Birthday! We did a Queen Bee theme and I thought this dress was perfect!

I did smocking on the top of the dress and on the sleeves!

I cut out all the petals and for the yellow flower on the dress and the one in her hair! Then I added 3 little pearls to finish off the center!

The shoes are little ballet flats with ribbon ties to wrap around! I used a little bit of elastic to keep them a little bit more snug on her cute little feet!

I also made little yellow flowers to add to the shoes.

Here is the view from the back!

So there you go! This was one of my favorite projects and I thought it turned out perfect! I will be posting the shoes on my Etsy Shop today as well!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Troubles Posting Pictures!

Yesterday I wanted to post pictures of my newest dress on Etsy, but I don't know if it was Blogger or my computer, but it was struggling and we had such a busy weekend, so I will get them posted on Monday!
I wanted to share real quickly about how amazing the women of our community are! One of my neighbors was recently diagnosed with cancer and is struggling with the costs of her medical bills! A group of women got together, friends and neighbors, to put together a group of fundraising events to help with the costs. This weekend was the first of many. We did a yard sale. We had far more donations than we thought we would receive and raised more than double of what we had anticipated. These women have families and sacrificed so much to spend endless hours helping with all the details of the yard sale! What amazing examples of service! If you would like to know more about the upcoming events visit the blog they have set up to let people know about the fundraisers. Please feel free to visit lottesoflove.blogspot.com!

Happy Independence Day!

I needed something for my sweet little girl for the 4th this year and didn't want some generic Tshirt from Old Navy. I had seen this tutorial on making a bandana dress and decided that is what I was going to make her! I thought it turned out SUPER CUTE! It was her own little maxi dress!

Hopefully she will grow an inch or two so I don't have to worry about her stepping on it any more!

Check out those CHEEKS! and that double chin...gotta LOVE it!

Hope you all had a great long weekend! :)

Summer Fun Dress!

I made this dress for my niece Brianna! She actually picked out the fabric for this dress and requested that it looked similar to a Maxi style dress I have...isn't that cute!? :) It has a tie around the neck and mine was actually made of a knit, but we did some shirring on the top to give the material a stretchy look and feel!

We added the blue material in to have the strap stand out and match the bottom ruffle!

Her Mom took these pictures for me and said that she DID NOT want to take off her dress off! That is always a good sign! It is great for summer, because it is cool and flows and it so stylish for those sweet little girls!
Thanks for the Inspiration Bri! Love you!

Reversible Hand Painted Vests

So my sister Jessica is Awesome and always calls me with exciting new ideas that she wants me to make for her! This was one of them! She wanted her 2 handsome boys to have vests for their family pictures, but didn't want just some dorky/unoriginal vests! She loves the ones that you buy for men than are painted and have some extra details on them, so she called me and asked me to do it! She sent me a link to this blog that has a Great Tutorial on how to make the reversible vests!

I had to rush them off to her for her family pictures, so I don't have any other great photos of the details of the painting, I will soon, but here is a SNEAK PEAK! :)

GIVEAWAY WINNER!

This is what the WINNER from my Giveaway at sixsistersstuff.blogspot.com chose! They turned out super cute! I'll let you know about any other giveaways you can enter! :)

Fleur de Lis

I always love looking at adult clothing and making onesies and outfits that look more stylish than just the traditional baby stuff! That is what inspired these shirts! I saw the colored swirly pattern at HL and it was on SALE, which I am always a sucker for! I grabbed a few just to see how they worked...mind you that was probably 4 months ago. I tried it on a blue shirt and it didn't even show up and then when I went back and read the directions it said that it was best to use on light colored shirts! :) Reading the directions pays off sometimes! ;)

I also LOVE the image of the fleur de lis, so I did a stamp of it in black to get those layers! I love, love, love how its not a solid black image! I have a few more of the green, so look for them at my etsy shop!

I love that I posted a picture of this onesie on FB and I had 4 or 5 people comment that they would wear one of these in their size! It made me smile!

This one turned out a lot lighter than the green, but I still love how it turned out! This one was an order, so that is why the name Carpenter is on the back!

Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow!
